Statement by Aging with Dignity President Paul Malley Regarding the Death of Eunice Kennedy Shriver
August 11, 2009
“We join with many Americans in mourning the death of Eunice Kennedy Shriver, a dedicated and longtime voice for those with cognitive impairments.
“We recall with great fondness and appreciation her support for Aging with Dignity and Five Wishes. In 1998, Mrs. Shriver joined us at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. to launch the national version of Five Wishes, and to show her unwavering support for the much greater goal of protecting the dignity of the vulnerable and disabled among us.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and all those who will surely miss her.”
